Travel to your Galle Test match hotel on the morning following the 5th day of the Colombo Test for a few days relaxation on the beautiful south west coast of Sri Lanka prior to the start of the 3rd Test match on 18th December. Enjoy some of the many optional day excursions taking in the scenic pleasures and exciting wildlife opportunities in the area.
Friday 14th – Monday 17th December
After breakfast on Friday 14 December transfer to the Bentota Beach hotel which will also be your base for the 3rd Test match on Galle where you can decide how to spend your own time at leaisure prior to the start of the Galle Test match.
Monday 17th December
Welcome those joining the tour from
the UK or rejoining from Colombo
via our Essence of Ceylon Tour at our early
evening welcome drinks party.

Friday 14th December
After breakfast leave for Habarana
visiting the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage and stopping for lunch
en route. In the afternoon take an
optional jeep safari to Minneriya
or Kaudulla National Park. Dinner
and overnight at the Chaaya Village,
Habarana.
Saturday 15th December
After an early breakfast proceed to
Kandy, visiting Sigiriya Rock Fortress
and Dambulla Cave Temple. Also visit
a batik factory and a spice garden in
Matale where there will be a cookery
demonstration on the preparation
of local cuisine. Thereafter continue
to Kandy and stop for lunch at a
Spice Garden. In the evening visit the
Temple of the Tooth and witness a Kandyan cultural dance performance.
Dinner and overnight in Kandy.
Sunday 16th December
After breakfast visit the Royal
Botanical Gardens and proceed to
Nuwara Eliya visiting a tea plantation
and factory en route. After lunch
take a tour of Nuwara Eliya in the
afternoon. Dinner and overnight at St
Andrews or similar.
Monday 17th December
After an early breakfast proceed to
Galle, via Avissawella and proceed to
the Bentota Beach Hotel. Meet fellow
tourists from Kandy or those joining
the tour from the UK at our evening
welcome drinks party.
Tuesday 18th – Saturday 22nd December
Follow the itinerary for the 3rd Test package.
