England Cricket Tour to Sri Lanka
The Test Match Itinerary
England visit Sri Lanka in December for a three Test match series.
| 1st Test Match | Kandy | 1st – 5th December 2007 |
| 2nd Test Match | Columbo | 9th – 13th December 2007 |
| 3rd Test Match | Galle | 18th - 22nd December 2007 |
As a relatively young cricketing nation, Sri Lanka has made impressive strides since their first Test Match against England (25 years ago) to the delight of an enthusiastic army of fans. In fact, Sri Lanka look well set to wrest India's crown as the Sub-continent's top cricketing nation and would prove a high-profile scalp for a England team looking to the future themselves.
To compete, England must find a way to stem the flow of runs from Sri Lanka 's elegant top order batsmen, stand up to the often brutal, and somewhat unorthodox, bowling of the quicks and learn to read Murali's astonishing repertoire of deliveries. If they do so, their travelling supporters will enjoy a feast of fabulous cricket in spectacular surroundings.
Test Matches take place in the graceful Dutch Colonial port of Galle, the cool hills of Kandy and the bustling capital, Colombo. Join us for the exhilarating action, then explore the country's fascinating highlights or simply relax on a breathtaking Indian Ocean beach, here or in the Maldives, just a short flight away.
See our web page at the link above explaining more of the Sri Lanka, Maldives and Dubai extensions we have to offer.
